Live music from One World Beats
Bring your dancing shoes! The cookout kicks off at 11am with a lively performance by One World Beats, the father-and-son duo of JuJu Drum and Gary “G” Garlic Jr. For more than a decade, they have shared their love of percussion with audiences throughout Hampton Roads. Both are music instructors with backgrounds in a variety of percussion styles, blending performance and education into an energetic, interactive experience for all ages. This performance is made possible through the generosity of Arts for Learning Virginia.
Bring a pumpkin creation
Show off your fall spirit by bringing a carved jack-o’-lantern or decorated pumpkin to enter in our Pumpkin Competition! Create something spooky, silly, creative, colorful, or uniquely you. Everyone is welcome to participate.
Fun for all ages
Kids can enjoy bounce houses, activities, games, and the pumpkin competition, while everyone can take part in a little friendly competition. And yes, there may be a few surprises along the way.
More details to come. We hope to see you there!
